Sometimes life will throw you a curveball

just when you thought you were on top of it all

everything was working out so well

then all of a sudden you want to yell

first one thing breaks and then another

leaves you wanting to run for cover

why in the world did it all fall apart

why did you end up with the broken heart

so many questions and answers to none

was it something you said something you had done

who knows why these things occur

my good things do not stay as they were

there is no given reason as to why

but there is a choice whether or not to cry

learned to take all of these things in stride

it never helps to run or to hide

 see them all as chances to learn and grow

try to learn something you did not know

find the best in every situation you are in

using knowledge to go past where you have been

none of these troubles have to make you weak

none of them have to make your world feel bleak

all of them can be seen in different light

don't look at the wrong look for the right

this might be the best thing that could happen to you

in the end it might give you a world a brighter hue

trust that there is a greater power in command

shaping your life with the sweep of His hand

seeing so much more than you can possibly see

knowing much more than either you or me

if you believe that all things happen for a reason

then you know that it is not your place to question

something better is waiting around the bend

you will be glad it's all happened in the end
